SUPER INTELLIGENCE

Superintelligence refers to AI that surpasses human intelligence in various ways. It is often categorized into three types:

Speed Superintelligence: AI that mimics human intelligence but operates at significantly faster speeds.

Collective Superintelligence: A network of AI subsystems working together to solve complex problems, similar to how multiple teams contribute to large-scale projects like building a space shuttle.

Quality Superintelligence: AI that surpasses human cognitive abilities to a degree comparable to how human intelligence surpasses that of dolphins or chimpanzees.

The development of superintelligence depends on factors such as optimization power—the ability to refine and improve itself—and system recalcitrance, or resistance to change. The pace of progress in AI will ultimately determine how quickly we can achieve this level of intelligence.
